Vista Verde Guest Ranch

Vista Verde is one of my favorite travel locations. This was my 5th season out at the ranch and it never gets old. One of the best All Inclusive in the US for those that are active and enjoy the outdoors. For those of you who don't see snow each year, this is a great place to visit to get your "snow fix". The activities are fun, the adventures are endless and the food is amazing. Five start quality! The staff is wonderful and booking is so easy. Just sign up, and they pretty much take care of the rest.

This was a 5 star experience in every way. Our room in the lodge was comfortable and clean. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The food was delicious. And most importantly--the horses were great! My barn friend and I came for the riding and we were not disappointed. The activities on horseback were fun and all levels of riding ability were accommodated. We have booked a repeat visit.

This is late, but I went with my mother, aunt, and little brother. It is very kid, tween, and teen friendly. The staff was amazing and there were so many great activities. There is so much amazing natural beauty and wildlife everywhere. They also have a petting zoo, camping areas, and massive fields of wildflowers in the summer. Also, look out for marmots and mule deer, they are everywhere! The cat in the picture is one of the mouse hunting cats they keep at the ranch. They are super friendly ❤️

This was my second visit to Vista Verde(the first with my husband and this one as a solo) and it did not disappoint. I went specifically for the horsemanship clinic this time. The clinic was run by KP, who is a very effective and patient teacher. I was able to learn and practice new horsemanship skills. My only suggestion for change would be splitting the group in 2 or having less people. I found it challenging to have 9 students in arena at once for space issues as well as ability of instructor to get to everybody. They did have 1 wrangler helping as well so that was nice. I will definitely return and look forward to the great learning opportunity. Our family first visited Vista Verde in the early 1990’s and returned 4 more times, the last being in 1998. We enjoyed our weeks there immensely! To celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary we decided to splurge & take our 4 children & 9 grandchildren to Vista Verde next summer. We made reservations & had made two payments toward the final (substantial) amount. We were dismayed to receive a letter recently informing us that due to an increase in Routt County lodging tax, we would now owe 6% more, a whopping $8732!! My husband and I decided that we were unwilling to pay any more than the original agreed-upon price. So we called to cancel our stay and were informed that, in canceling, we would have to pay a 4% fee on the amount we had already submitted! This was $2910. We feel that the t
