Veterans Memorial Campground

We camped at Veterans, and brought 3 campers in with us, and set our campers up to face each other, was all finished and then we’re told we had to move 1 camper cause we r only allowed 1 camper per site. The back of 1 camper was hanging over the line by 4 feet. And then when we left, in camper stayed another day, and got threatened that they had to pay for another site because there lawn chairs were in the next site. Very rude, will not be camping there again.

This is one of the finest public campgrounds in Wisconsin. It has very easy access to the campsites which are very easy to navigate and are very well kept. It is very family friendly with a variety of things to do. The managers, Jim and Darlene, are two of the nicest and friendliest people I have had the good fortune to meet. Very nice shower facilities that are always above and beyond neat and clean. The on site laundry is a huge benefit to all campers. Very quiet stay every time we come which, to me, is a surprise given the events that are being held at the time. One, if not the best of all the campgrounds we stay at during the year!!

Direct connection to bike trail was perfect. They also have nice walking trails and multiple activity/play areas. Campground was full but very quiet all weekend. Easy access dump station. Didn't use the bathrooms but the looked clean and modern.

Disappointed After Years of Great Experiences I’ve been camping at this campground for many years and have always had a great experience—until this year. Unfortunately, this trip was frustrating and disappointing from the start. After checking into our site and setting up our camper (the same way we always have), we were abruptly told we had to move it because it wasn’t parked “correctly.” This was confusing since we’ve never had this issue before. Our group had reserved three sites, and we brought an extra car, as we’ve done in the past. This time, however, we were told we couldn’t use the visitor parking and had to move the car completely out of the campground. No clear reason was given, and it felt unnecessarily strict. This was a quick overnight stay for us while on a road trip. Nice campground, easy to find and navigate. Wished we could have stayed longer being right on the river. Lovely place and clean!
