Vagabond Inn - Bishop

Absolutely unacceptable and dangerous experience. During our stay, my daughter got scratched because there was a fishing hook hidden in the carpet in our room. This is not just poor housekeeping — this is a serious safety hazard. A sharp metal hook stuck in the carpet where guests walk barefoot or children play is completely irresponsible and could have caused a much worse injury. On top of that, the bathroom was clearly not properly cleaned. There were visible hair and soap residue left on the walls of the shower. It was disgusting and made us question the overall cleanliness standards of this place. Safety and hygiene are the absolute minimum expectations for any hotel. The staff was friendly. The curtains was thin you can see outside. We had a visitor at night (cockroach). The bed was at least comfortable.

Only place with vacancy we were able to book last minute, 4 days before new years and new snow in mammoth. Rooms were clean, showers n restroom look new. Place looks upkeeped. 1st night there was a single strand of hair in one of the bed sheet, so idk. there was room cleaning on the 2nd day which we didnt expect but welcomed. Free breakfast is consist of bagels,french toast, waffle muffins, fruits, and cereal, no meats eggs. Juice fruits and coffee in lobby. They alao have 10% off to denny's and the pizza place next door. Fridge and mini fridge. Soap and shampoo included. All pretty standard, pretty satisfied

Classic american motel, was great for our stopping point between vegas and yosemite. Friendly staff and had everything we needed in the room. Free parking available and restaurants next door. 4/5 for cleanliness due to floor leaving black marks.

Roomy rooms with great working AC/HEATER. The TV had direct TV so lots of options to watch on TV. The WiFi was satisfactory. The breakfast was okay, all grains/breads and fruits no eggs or meats. Orange juice and apple juice were good and muffins were okay. Would go again when in bishop.
