Ute Motel

Was nice until 10 mins before eleven and was told to vacate the room. Thankfully I was just waiting on a ride. The bathroom soaps were seriously lacking. Other than that it was pretty hum drum.

Owners are great, they are very kind and curtious, and willing to work with others. They keep the rooms clean and near and are very polite.

My husband and I booked this motel for two nights during an emergency visit to the area. It was incredibly inexpensive compared to alternatives ($44/night) and we thought it looked charming when we drove by. We were hoping we'd found a little locally owned diamond in the rough.||The charm ended once we entered the room. All mismatched furniture and very dated fixtures and accessories ("comforters", art work, phone, etc) - it was truly was reminiscent of a thrift store. Colored towels, which makes me worry about how hot the wash is when they are laundered. What a hidden gem! I assume it is a husband & wife team that owns this hotel and they certainly take pride in what they have. It's an older building but the rooms are very well maintained and very clean. During the day you will see them puttering around the grounds tidying things up, there is no trash anywhere. At night time, I didn't see a single exterior light bulb out. I come to Colorado every year to visit family and I will definitely stay here from now on when I need a hotel.
