Upper Lake Campground

Lake and trees are beautiful. Sunrise and sunset 🌇🌆 are to kill for. Large lake front well separated sites. Enough cell signal to watch you tube. 3 Pit toilets and 15 sites. Free to stay all year. Nice 3 mile trail around the lake.

Road noise can be a little loud but otherwise a great place. Bring mosquito repellent!

Beautiful spot to stop along the way. Everytime we come by there are always spots open. Water is pretty low. Peaceful although the camp spots are close to the highway. Didn't get to fish as it was too windy. Hoping to try next time.

This campground is closed. It would be nice if you would post an update, if nothing else, put a closed banner across the highway sign. We drove all the way in, which there is no pull through turn around. Had to unhitch our towed vehicle in order to get out. This stop was planned months in advance, we were so disappointed, especially how the local stations in Las Vegas had promoted this park so heavily.

Almost hate to review this place... 12 non reserve spots at no charge. Very dusty from the road, so pick a site further away from Park road. Stayed in Sept and it was hot with no hookups, but showed up late in the day to use as a quick stopover, so no worries. Sure, close to the road (93), but the view that way is good also. Site was all dusty gravel, so not great to hang outside... View from inside camper made up for it. Lake is pretty low and no swimming. All in all, this is a gem... If you stop here take care of it, so we have it in the future. Slight update... The gnats are insane. Are getting through out camper screens no problem and have had to go to a no light policy. So... Many... Gnats inside. Hoping they leave for the AM.
