We camped here for one night at the end of our Maine trip. I can’t say enough about True Serendipity Homestead as camp site. But also as an educational experience for our kids. They were captivated by Mike’s blacksmith skills and what they were able to make in his workshop. Recommended.

This place is a hidden gem - one of the most gorgeous camping spots I’ve camped it! Mike was a lovely host and greeted us at our camp spot (even though we reached very late in the night). He already had firewood placed on our spot and had all essentials on the campground to get us settled. The site is located right next to a beautiful lake - we woke up with the quack of ducks and geese with the early morning mist still settling in! It was a truly a magical experience- highly recommend to anyone looking at camping in Acadia.

Beautiful homestead. Campsites are well kept and each has a fire pit & picnic table. Mike & Cheryl are the nicest people. Offered eggs straight from the chickens butt and veggies from their garden. Just a 25 minute ride to Acadia National Park, Ellsworth town close by offered restaurants & shops to get things we forgot for camping. Fogtown Brewery was a nice find & they allow dogs! We will be back!

We stayed at the campground for two night with two little kids. The sites are good sized and pretty far apart to allow privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed canoeing on the pond (no charge), trying fresh eggs and herbs. Our kids loved watching the geese and ducks, the chickens and the frogs (which are huge and loud!). Well maintained grounds and friendly owners! We’ll be back!

Cannot say enough great things about Mike and Sheryl. The work they have put into their property in just 2 short years is incredible. If you are looking for a camping getaway with just enough amenities, stay on their homestead! If I wasn't from the Midwest, I'd visit once a month, especially for the woodworking classes that Mike offers.
