Trucountry Inn Hotel & Apartments

If your looking for a humbling and down to earth place to stay with great people, this is the place to go. To love historical adventures, is to love Brady and all it's beautiful, country history. Tru Country Inn is full of amazing history and some unique stories. Tina, the housekeeper, made us feel right at home and answered all our questions. Scott and rest of staff present was also welcoming and made us feel at home. We sure are sad we missed Heather, but we hope to see you next time.. my dad especially would love to meet you! We love your music! We will definitely return. Until next time, Brady, TX did not disappoint!

I ran across this hotel in an old Texas Highways magazine and we decided to stay there on a recent road trip. It's owned and managed and maintained by country singer Heather Myles who was there when we stayed. She is restoring the hotel to approximate it's 1923 look but with modern conveniences. We stayed in the 3 room + bath Miss Pearl suite for slightly over $100 for one night. The room was nicely furnished with 1920's style furniture. Comfy bed and sitting rooms with a kitchen area with small fridge and microwave. Be aware that there are 22 steps to the 2nd floor rooms, no elevator. Staff was extremely friendly. It's right on the courthouse square, a nice place for a morning stroll.

Went here to have a nice beer and play pool. Showed my license with two other friends. I have an out of state due to me being military. The bartender went and discussed with some other people at a table but came back saying she didn’t feel comfortable serving us. We all offered our CACs (mil ID) and she said no and told us to leave. We left and watched her run to the other bar to tell them to not serve us. Funny part is that we were already at the hotel and the owner was super friendly and told us to drink at his other bar since the one in the hotel was closed. So the one she ran to had already served us early that day. TLDR: teach your bartenders how to tell a real license and how to read a CAC.

This is my kind of place. Great owner & employees. Very friendly. Great historical hotel right off the courthouse square, in a rare small Texas town where the old downtown area isn’t all boarded up. Stayed in the Bonnie & Clyde room. The irony isn’t lost on me that the room overlooks the courthouse. They must have had a laugh about that. Had a couple of beers at the bar, while a band warmed up in the ballroom. Great experience. Stay here and support a local business.

My husband and I stayed at the Trucountry Inn while in Brady for the Heart of Texas Honky Tonk Festival. My husband booked our room months in advance, and when we arrived we upgraded from a standard room to a suite. The inn isn’t your typical hotel stay—it’s more about the history and unique character than modern luxury. The owner and staff were very polite and helpful, and the location right on the square made it easy to walk to the shops, courthouse, and the Heart of Texas Museum. They also have a bar and games on-site, which adds to the atmosphere. If you’re looking for something different and full of history, the Trucountry Inn is definitely worth experiencing.
