Tru by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown

I had an excellent stay at the TRU in Minneapolis and wanted to highlight the truly outstanding service. Every staff member I interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful. The gentleman who runs the continental breakfast provided some of the best service I’ve ever experienced at any hotel. He warmly greeted every guest, anticipated questions before we even had to ask, and even checked in at tables to make sure everyone had what they needed. I’ve stayed at many hotels, and I’ve never seen that level of genuine care at a complimentary breakfast. The front desk receptionist also went above and beyond. I came down after noon asking if there were any leftover breakfast items for someone in my room who wasn’t feeling great, and he didn’t hesitate for a second—he grabbed a banana, muffin

Breakfast being free with decent variety meant mornings were easy and we could just eat and head out without planning or spending money which added up to real savings over our trip

Booked this hotel as it is close to the passport agency. I was so happy with the room and service. When I checked it I was assisted by Kimberly at the front desk. The hotel does not have parking but they do valet parking or there is public parking which Kimberly provided a few options. I parked 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The room was clean, with excellent amenities full fridge, kitchen counter with kitchen supplies. Breakfast menu had a nice selection. Due to unforseen reasons I needed to request a late check out, informed my situation to Gigi and she was wonderful allowed me to have a late check out at 2pm, which assisted me tremendously. As I was leaving I met with the GM Troy and the Edith the Housekeeping Manager. They were so nice and welcoming saying hello and holding the elevato

Positive: The uniqueness. It was a hostel, meets a hotel, meets a coffee shop. The night staff was great. They were very welcoming. The breakfast was pretty good, and the staff who helped serve breakfast were amazing with wonderful attitudes. Negative: The day staff seemed a little lazy, either sitting or standing around, not doing much. A gentleman at the front desk seemed either too busy, cranky, or just stuck with a judgmental scowl.

⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a wonderful stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton – Minneapolis Downtown. The hotel is modern, spotless, and very comfortable — the room had everything I needed and more. What impressed me the most was the professionalism and kindness of the front desk staff. They were attentive, efficient, and always ready to help with a smile. Check-in and check-out were quick and seamless, and I truly felt welcomed from the moment I arrived. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Minneapolis — great location, excellent service, and a warm, friendly atmosphere!
