Trout Lake Valley Inn

A little piece of heaven in Washington State…I have stayed at a variety of hotels over the years, many of which were very expensive, but I can honestly say that Trout Lake Valley Inn was my favorite of them all. I have told everyone that if I ever come up missing, don’t look for me, but I’ll be at the Trout Lake Valley Inn. The location was perfect for a jumping off spot to both Mount Adams and Mount Saint Helens. They had a spectacular little yard for relaxing in, complete with hammock, Adirondack chairs, and cornhole. It was perfect for sitting back and listening to the creek run past and the susurration of the wind through the trees. I wished I never had to leave. I've been to Trout Lake many times and have family there that I usually stay with, so this was only the second time I've ever stayed at the motel. And let me tell you, I was so excited to be able to do so. It's truly the cutest little motel ever. Everything from the exterior architecture to the room decor has a rustic, woodsy feel. The walkway outside the rooms is nicely decorated with antique tools and cute flower baskets. There are twelve rooms total; my sister and brother-in-law were also staying there and we were a little disappointed to be so far apart, but ultimately nothing is *that* far away given the size of the motel.||The rooms are super clean and have all the amenities you'd usually find in a hotel room. One of my favorite motels . This was my 4th visit. . Big rooms, 4 cup coffee pot, not a single cup waste of time , refrigerator has separate freezer compartment for refreezing cooler ice packs. Very comfortable beds! Gas fire place in rooms with properly placed reading lights. Very rare in today's motels. The room even has a cutting board! Outdoor seating at each room. Covered seating area, sofas, arm chairs, very comfortable as well as park like setting with chairs, steam for soaking your feet and lawn games. And a great continental breakfast with delicious oatmeal. Not the usual paste so common in restaurants. All for very reasonable price.

You won’t find a better hotel than this one. They were booked the night I got into town but helped me find other accommodations in a small area before Labor Day weekend. I stayed the next night and the room was beautiful and spotless. There’s a very nice lawn area with chairs next to a small stream to relax in the evening. There’s a free breakfast in the morning that was tasty, neat, and clean. I can’t say enough good things about this place and the team who went out of their way to help me out. Oh, and there’s also breath taking views of Mount Adams.

Stayed here two nights with 8 friends as a base camp for hiking Mt. Adams. Rooms were outstanding. Breakfast was better than any breakfast I’ve had in ages. Hosts were very kind and helpful. Location is perfect and the grounds are just right for before and after a full day in the mountains. We would all stay here again in a heartbeat.
