Kelly's Trout Creek Inn Bed

Amazing weekend stay while in town for a family wedding. Beautiful views and hosts are very accommodating.

My daughter and I just returned from a wonderful overnight at Kelly's B&B. We are already planning a return trip this summer. Hosts Kelly and Marilyn were wonderful. They attended to our needs and questions without hovering. They also made us feel like their home was our home. I had many trips to and from the kitchen to refrigerate or fetch our drinks and snacks. While all the rooms are nice, I highly recommend the upstairs suite. We enjoyed listening to and looking at the falls and the view. The circular staircase was a fun way to go from upstairs to ground level. p.s. the breakfast was wonderful, and we appreciated coffee and hot water for tea offered throughout our stay.

I've wanted to visit this area ever since I read a guide book from 2009 on traveling the back roads of Washington. It mentioned driving on FS 23 from Randle to Trout Lake for 58 miles, 11 miles of that is gravel and some of it is 1 lane with pull outs (2 hours). My husband and I got to do that this summer. Waiting at the end of our travel down FS 23 was Kelly and Marilyn's place. It is still like what all the reviewers say - so welcoming, friendly, anything you might need, they have. Loved all the things to look at in their inn. Fell in love with the glass rabbit lamp. We also were the only ones there (can't believe it) so they offered us the upstairs Creekside room. We really enjoyed our stay. Like most thru hiker-oriented places, it's big on personality. There are 3 rooms, a great hot tub and a grill. For hikers without a car, it is walking distance to the restaurant and market in town. The hosts are great and willing to help out with hiker-specific demands (like laundry). The hotel is a bit dark and the mattresses could use replacement, but the rates are great and it's everything a hiker could want such as one free load of laundry. They no longer serve full breakfast, but provide muffins only.

A very relaxed and accommodating Inn to unwind in/around. The creek was great for wading/sitting on a hot summer day. The home is easy to get to and has many comforts of home (including homemade muffins and hot coffee in the morning). The owners are informative, willing to share their knowledge of the area and offer suggestions if asked. They are equally willing to spend evening time talking with guests or leave you to your own devices. There is wifi for those who want to stay connected. The home is cozy and the outside BBQ/eating area, lawn and hot tub are inviting.
