Tropical Sands Resort

This is going to be a long review. I stay in places like this all the time but this place is a cut above the rest. The units are two bedroom and are immaculately clean. Everything you need Is provided. Everyday I watch them as they clean all the tables and chairs by the pool and make the place sparkle. This place has come back from the first floor being flooded last year in the bad hurricane. The buildings across the street are still closed due to that. They've had the bottom floor totally redone and the pool is in perfect shape and kept at a great 86°. The hot tub is still closed but they work on it practically everyday. An older resort, but very well maintained. Still doing repairs from hurican Ian damage, in that the hot tub/spa is still under reconstruction. Some units only have a mural view, but as the resort is accross the street from the ocean, it didn't matter that much. The resort is at the south end of Estero Island, so the beach is very wide, very open with very few people on it. The units are all two bedroom, spacious and the kitchen was better equipped than typical. Very enjoyable place to spend the week.

Wear sandals in the unit due to cleanliness of the floors. Our unit due to it being an RCI trade faces an outside wall so we have no view at all. Unit as a result is very dark. The size and amenities of the facility however is great!

I've been coming here since I was a teenager . The rooms are comfortable and large and the beach is right across the street everything is very clean and comfortable

Lynn, manager, was the most helpful I've seen from any resort manager. Helped with eating places, beach access, offered us a free beach umbrella, and was eager to help us and others. She is great. I think all rooms are two bedroom, so the two of us had lots of room. And TWO bathrooms. Everything worked in kitchen, place super clean except for the floor which I can understand.There was no dirt but it's hard not to have some floors totally clean. I noticed my white sox got dirty when I walked on the floors. Even though they were dirt free, maybe a wet serious scrubbing would help remove that surface dirt. But we found this at other resorts as well. It's hard to keep floors "hospital clean". No complaints, just an observation. Had to wear slippers or something, couldn't go white sox bare
