Tropic Island Resort - South Campus

We were actually at the North camp and it was a bit crowded and noisy. The highway to the ferry is right there and so there goes the traffic. The sight we stayed on the standard. Too small, I would recommend a deluxe sight for premium, whatever they call them. The laundry facilities were not clean and only a couple of them were working so we didn't use them. We went to the local laundry mat. It's very convenient to wear we stayed. The pool area though! That is where they spend the money for their resort. Wow! I felt like I was at a high end resort! Two hot tubs and two large pools! Also a snack and drink shack! Very nice!

Super friendly admin folks. Spots are tight but manageable. You’ll be in the heart of Port A.

Good location. Beautiful pool and grass maintenance. But beware, the spots were made for sardines. A local told us they were originally made for smaller rigs in the 80s. We have a 33 foot travel trailer (not the largest thing around) and we were inching to get in and out of our space, and they require you to wait for them to direct you to park into your spot.

Love it here. Heated saltwater pool, hot tub, winter activities such as poker, crafts, pancake breakfast etc. Management is fantastic. Golf cart accessable to the restaurants, beaches and night life. Just off the ferry..

Owner is extremely sweet. The campground is a little cramped, but very well kept. Very nice pool & hot tub. Prices are good and location is great.
