Travelodge by Wyndham South Hackensack

I honestly don’t understand how this place has 5-star reviews. It makes you wonder who is writing them. My stay here was very disappointing. The place looks run down and not well taken care of. The whole room smelled like cigarettes, and the smell was everywhere. It did not feel clean or comfortable at all. For the price they charge, it is definitely not worth it. I don’t understand how this place is still open. They seriously need new management or new ownership because a lot needs to change. It feels poorly maintained and nothing like what you would expect when paying for a motel. I would not recommend staying here. Look somewhere else if you can.

Positive: Friendly front desk, large TV with tons of channels, large bed, fridge and microwave work well Negative: Room had ants and fairly dirty floor, bed was worn and springy, towels were tiny, toilet and sink were faulty

Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT Book here! The prices are low for a reason and boy did we learn that the hard way. Rooms are incredible outdated, furniture falling apart, dirty, and smelly. I checked in and checked out not even an hour after because there were cochroaches in the room. When I told that to the desk attendant, he really couldn't care less.

I don’t even no were to start.. I went there for an out of state week work trip a few mnths ago. I walked in the place and said ok what is this. There were holes in the walls. The shower head was running so slow. The dresser was so loose like it was falling apart. I saw roaches that I stepped on. I even felt bad when I saw people in their 70’s being roommates . This place is where you can pay for 2 hours and go have a ball lol.. SMH

Stale cigarette smell, 24/7 running toilet, broken iron, dry blood stains and cigarette burns on bed sheets, loose hanging outlets, terrible wifi (their tv didn’t even work), door security latch broken (from someone braking in). Door has a gap in it to slide a credit card through, you can see where police or whoever broke the door down from the outside, chain lock missing the slide nut from when the cop or whoever broke into the room and broke it. Visibly watched drug deals happen through the night. The heat works well. I ended up sleeping on the bed wrapped in moving blankets I had with me.
