Travelodge by Wyndham San Clemente Beach

When I booked online, I was under the impression that I was booking a room that was relatively spacious with a private balcony and seating. Unfortunately, the pictures were super misleading and we ended up with a very basic room that definitely didn’t have a private balcony. That was super disappointing. The views are great, but not private. The room was clean and I was happy to see no old , dingy carpet. There was no safe, but the app said the room would have one, so again, very misleading. The shower looks recently renovated, which was nice. There was only body wash and a conditioning shampoo option available. I had to go purchase better soap and shampoo/conditioner for myself. Good location, decent room, though smaller than I thought it would be. Clean and comfortable. Had issue with neighbors fighting and took to long for staff to get involved or contact police.

We came to attend our friend's wedding at the nearby golf club. The room was nice and spacious and everything else worked as they should. Special thanks to Nayan, the owner/manager, who was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. He recommended nearby sites we could visit and also showed us how we could get there using free public transport, as we did not rent a car. We had some trouble with the microwave in our room and he personally came up to fix the issue. Overall, a great experience!

I booked a King Bed room at the Travelodge in San Clemente with an Ocean View and a balcony. What I received was very different from what was advertised. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed that there was no patio or balcony whatsoever, despite the room being listed as having one. The bed also appeared to be significantly smaller than a king. I currently own a king bed, and this was noticeably narrower. It was not identified as a California King, and even a California King should still be wider than a queen — which this bed did not appear to be. The issue was further highlighted by the fact that the “king” bed only had two very thin pillows, which is unusual for a king-sized setup.
