Travellers Rest Cabins and RV Park

As big fans of the TV show, we were really looking forward to our stay in the Yellowstone Suite. However, on the morning of check-in, we received an email saying that the suite was still occupied and we’d been moved to the Highland Suite instead.||When we arrived and went to our room, it was clearly already in use. With no one in the office, we had to call the contact number. A team member arrived shortly after and explained that the guests in the Highland Suite had decided not to leave, and there was someone living in the Yellowstone Suite who also hadn’t checked out yet.||We were then offered a choice between two other rooms — the Buffalo Cabin or the White Tail Suite. The White Tail Suite looked much nicer, so we chose that, only for the staff member to realise it was also already booke

Camped here in June during a bicycle tour. A lot of improvements have been made since I first stayed here in 2011. Most notably, the tenting area is no longer in the front near the highway but rather in back where it is quiet and not exposed to the public. There is also a picnic table. (An additional one might be helpful if it's crwoded.) Grass is nice, and there is shade. The bathhouse is also nice, and there is a covered porch with comfortable furniture and access to power to charge devices. Grocery store and eateries and easy walks. The person who greeted me was very pleasant. What's not to like?

When checking in to my large tent, I was surprised how hot it was (the tent sits in direct sunlight). Even the person preparing the tent commented how hot it was. I mentioned this to the operator and asked if I could pitch my own tent in the shade on my second night (I had a 2-night reservation). I was offered the opportunity to trade up to an air conditioned room for $60 but was refused a refund of the difference if I set up my own tent. It quickly became contentious so I just dealt with the unbearable heat for the entire stay. I would give zero stars for the experience in dealing with the operator if I could.

Beautiful views of the mountains. Very clean and well cared for campground. Friendly and helpful host and owner! Went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We will return!

Booked this accomodation by reading the reviews and thought it sounded good,We must have drawn the short straw the bed was comfortable but the cabin needed a refurbishment ||Kitchen needs replacing hob had better days pans all burnt inside fridge needed a good clean cabinets just worn out Toilet door had holes in it shower just about working . Grounds needed sorting a good general clean and tidy up So to say the least not happy.
