Travelers Rest Motel

My family and I stay here when we visit Lancaster. We've been returning for years The motel is not a luxury property, but the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff is very welcoming and I love the candy bar you receive a check-in -such a nice, warm touch. I haven't taken the complimentary two hour tour in a few years, but I enjoyed it in the past.

Clean room at reasonable price. Location is close to Amish, short drive to most of everything else Lancaster. Fairly quiet being on main road. Staff very friendly Parking right next to room. Substantial continental morning breakfast- fruits, oatmeal, sausage gravy and biscuits, hard boiled eggs, yogurt with add-ins, waffle station, cereals, donuts, muffins. All day coffee/tea. Didn't take the included free Amish bus tour.

The room was very clean and neat. We stayed in a two bed room. The mattress was very comfortable, not too soft or firm. There were enough pillows for comfort. The tv wasn't too big and had decent channels. There was a small microwave, fridge, and Keurig with coffee pods. The A/C unit hung on the wall. My only complaint was trying to figure out how to work it, as there was no instructions. It was also very loud. Breakfast was included, and all I can say is "yum"! The waffle mix was delicious, as was the sausage gravy and biscuits. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you for such a clean, friendly motel.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was immaculate. The staff was super friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great stay. The breakfast selection was delicious and very well maintained. The motel is in a great location. Close to so many “must-sees”! I will be back!!

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Travelers Rest in mid-December and highly recommend staying here. Comfortable room, friendly staff, fantastic complimentary breakfast with wonderful variety of foods. We also took the 2-hour complimentary farm tour which departed from their sister property a few miles away. This is a MUST DO tour! Can't wait to return again during summer or harvest!
