Tranquil Retreat Cabins

We had a great and very relaxing stay at the cottage by the cave. The location is great and very easy to get to. I gave a 4 star rating as this is a 4 star cabin for a 4 star price. The price was great compared to other cabins in the area. The cabin was adorable. The deck was bigger than the inside of the cabin and the hot tub was sooooo nice. The surroundings can't be beat. It did have some draw backs, the drains are very slow and there is no oven. There is a lack of plugs in the kitchen. There was also an issue with the key holder. Overall we loved it!

Beautiful location! Cottage by the cave is such a nice spot. Thanks to the provided centranella candle, I was not bit by any bugs the whole time. Like most locations in hocking hills, there was no cell service but that is to be expected. The kitchen has plenty of cookware. The atmosphere is so cozy. Plenty of towels. I loved spending time on the wrap around deck. Staff was very friendly and kind! The cabin itself was adorable and I enjoyed my stay. The futon bed was adequate but could use an update. The hot tub was a very nice addition but the cover needs updated as peices of it would come off into the tub whenever I opened it. Besides a few minor needs for updates, I would definitely say it was a wonderful stay and at such a wonderful price. I would highly recommend for a 1 person stay ..

Beautifully quiet location. The Cottage By The Cave was literally everything I needed & then some. Limited cell service, made it so much easier to relax & reset. Upon arrival, I met the co-owner of the property. We had a random, yet wonderful conversation. As a result, I was able to see/experience random spots that were absolutely beautiful. The Cottage comes with the basics (microwave, coffee pot, toaster, basic cookware, tableware, towels, hot tub, small fire pit. The only thing I can find that could use some improvement would be the hot tub cover. It's most certainly seen better days. For me, it was merely a minor inconvenience & something I can personally overlook. I will without a doubt return in the future

Love this cabin. Very affordable and close to some amazing hiking spots. Was great for just the 2 of us but I do recommend you bring an air mattress, the futon is not that great to sleep on. The kitchen had the basics (no oven) and the fridge was good for small items. Over all though it was amazing and perfect for a weekend of hiking.

Had an amazing stay for our 5 year Anv! We had a nice little cabin near the cave! We loved the view and quite all around us. We are very thankful for the owners and we can't wait to come stay again. Our only complaint is the futon mattress was not comfortable, lost power half the morning we were leaving and a refund on wood we couldn't use because of all the rain. Other than those few things, it was perfect.
