Regarding the spa: Massage therapist, Sara was absolutely amazing. She was attentive, skilled, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout my session. Her technique was exactly what I needed, and I left feeling truly relaxed and cared for. Toward the end of the massage, there was a very loud drilling type noise that was unfortunately quite disruptive and startled me a bit. I completely understand that unexpected things can happen, but in a spa environment (especially one that people intentionally budget and look forward to for rest and relaxation) maintaining a quiet, peaceful atmosphere is so important. I did mention it to the front desk at checkout, though they said they didn’t hear anything, so I’m not sure what it may have been? I’m grateful it happened near the end rather tha
We travel twice a year to Binghamton to visit family who do not have the space to put us up in their home. As a result, this beautiful and comfortable hotel has become our home-away-from-home whenever we stay in Binghamton. For the second time, we booked a Homestead Suite, which offered a sitting area separate from the bedroom. This area has a sofa, end tables and coffee table, a desk and chair, and a console with a flat-screen TV. The entire suite is spacious and spotlessly clean. A wet bar, Keurig coffee machine, and a refrigerator were nice features, and the bathroom was spacious, with a good supply of thick, fluffy towels and high-quality toiletries.||Traditions is located just a short distance from a large commercial shopping area which includes gas stations, shops, restaurants,
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the last few years, it means a lot to me as my dad worked for IBM and stayed here when he was a young Engineer. I played quite a few rounds of golf around the hotel and went snow sledding on your front lawn many times! I do understand the business side of your revenue stream but there are some inexpensive (relatively speaking) details that could be attended to in the near term. I stayed in the Eisenhower suite for 4 nights. There is a foul smell in the bathroom, kind of like a sewage smell. I believe it is coming from the tap water, especially noticeable at the sink. I think this is a sulfur smell, and the first step would be to have it professionally flushed (flush and chlorinate) to eliminate this as the cause. The next thing are the be
Transition Hotel and Spa in Johnson City is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment you step inside, you’re wrapped in the elegance of a beautifully preserved historic building that radiates old-world charm. The architecture alone tells a story—graceful details, rich character, and a warmth that modern hotels simply can’t replicate. Every corner feels thoughtfully curated, blending classic sophistication with comfort. The atmosphere is serene and refined, making it the perfect escape from the ordinary. There’s a sense of history here, but it never feels dated—only timeless. My only complaint is that we only got to stay one night.
The hotel itself was fine. It was very clean if not a bit worn. However, on the second night of our stay, there was a wedding in the banquet hall. Apparently, our room was directly above the wedding. Our room was not able to be used because the music was so loud it was shaking and vibrating the room. I asked for a call from management after my stay, but did not receive one. Knowing that the sound insulation in an historic hotel would be minimal, the hotel should not place guests over the banquet facility. Additionally, I had no Warning of the event and the impact it would have on my stay. Otherwise, staff, spa and the tavern were welcoming.
