TownePlace Suites by Marriott Vidalia Riverfront

We recently stayed here for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our stay! The outdoor patio area is gorgeous with a great view of the river. We loved the gas fire pit and look forward to staying here again. The outdoor furniture didn’t have cushions as they were being replaced, so we took the cushions from the sofa in our room and put on the outdoor sofa. Our room was great though the bed was a bit too firm. The suite has all the comforts of home including a kitchenette with dishes, pots and pans. The breakfast was great and the staff was delightful and friendly. We will definitely be back soon!

We had a very sub par one night stay here. First, the building was under some kind of construction throughout the hotel. The first room we got the walls were peeling off and the carpet was coming up. Room was just not clean. We got the second room. The walls were not peeling, but it still wasn't as clean as I would expect of a hotel that cost $250 a night.. There was leftover hair in the shower and it just wasn't clean. Again, i may be okay if it cost $99 a night, but we paid $250.. ||The staff was great. No complaints. Very friendly and helpful but unfortunately the Hotel does them no favors. Good location with good views of the river. Seemed safe. Breakfast was good and the staff in kitchen was great. ||I wouldn't stay here again. I felt I was drained of $250 for a sub par motel 6.

Positive: "" Negative: Room dirty, shower had mold , bugs in room . Shampoo dispenser missing no shampoo for us to shower!!! Horrible experience from beginning to end.?. And there was water leaking from ice machine and ceiling leaking water by the breakfast are

My rating is strictly because of Engwin!!! She made my stay worth it. She is AMAZING!! If I could give her 100 stars I would. As far as the room goes….that’s a different story. The entry door handle was coming off. The control panel door to the a/c unit was broken. The closet door handle in the kitchen was missing. The little “shelf” in the shower had been caulked so many times to try to keep it attached but it’s still broken and probably just needs to be removed or at least use a different method of attaching because that’s clearly not working. The breakfast attendant was also very nice. So the staff is what got the five star rating….not the room, as it needs a lot of attention.

We stayed for a night when travelling. Everything was good (except the oatmeal!!) Staff very friendly. Good working guest laundry took coins. Great position next to the river, friendly town.
