TownePlace Suites by Marriott Dover Rockaway

I have travelled to exactly 50 countries and hundreds of cities around the world and I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel! I have stayed in more than a few. The price, amenities, and staff were all excellent! What an excellent stay at this hotel! The wonderful and welcoming front desk staff, the friendly house keepers, the attentive breakfast attendants, and the highly skilled and fast to fix maintenance workers. Everyone made for a very enjoyable and stress free experience! The bed was super comfy, room were very clean with a nice design/layout and a fully stocked kitchenette. They have even more appliances like a slow cooker and blender if you ask the front desk! Plus a BBQ area and a pool too! The included breakfast was also great too! A buffet with hot and cold op

As a platinum-level Marriott member, I have stayed at a variety of hotels, including many TownePlace Suites, in different cities. This is the weakest. When I arrived late at night, the reception person was not helpful. I inquired about the possibility of a complimentary upgrade based on my status, but he did not know how to do an upgrade. He suggested that I speak to the manager the following morning. When I explained to him that I was only there for one night, he had no solutions. ||At breakfast the following morning, there were 3 cereal dispensers. Two of them were empty and the 3rd one did not work. When I asked the lady who was working at breakfast what was going on, she did not apologize, she did not smile, and, after some prodding, she finally gave me a small pre-packaged cereal pac

Positive: Very quiet, comfortable beds, clean and reasonably nice. Negative: Room design slightly smaller than I had imagined. Bathroom also small, but overall very functional and manageable.

My family, including a little one, had a wonderful last-minute one-night stay. We were received late in the evening on 1/22/25 and the next morning on 1/23/25 by great staff. The rooms were well appointed with all the comforts needed. They had great beds. We loved that we could control the thermostat in our room. We enjoyed delicious dining from nearby Tequila 55 tacos. Breakfast before checkout was yummy, too. I would definitely stay here again.

Had to change rooms because we barged in on someone already sleeping in our first room and then got a second room that had an incessant loud beeping every minute. The breakfast was worse than school lunch, all there was is badly made eggs, discolored sausage patties and bagels. None of the usual pancakes and waffles or literally ANYTHING else. We got charged three fees for state fee city fee and county fee that wasn’t included in initial price they told us that apparently is standard (so why don’t they include it in the price they tell you???) overall it was a rough nights sleep and I wouldn’t choose this hotel again especially for nearly $300 for one night.
