Town House Motel

The woman who says this place has bedbugs is a black liar! The Town House Motel is clean and quaint. I have been staying here as a monthly renter for over a year now and have met the most wonderful people here. It is locally owned and operated. Yes the decor and appliances may not be top of the line new age but it is clean and comfortable, and you can't beat the rates.

I was traveling by Motorcycle and this little Motel caught my eye. It is American owned and operated. Chiquita was first to greet me, then Virginia. She was nice and friendly and the rate she quoted me was more than fair. I settled in to my non-smoking room with a comfortable firm bed. The room was clean with everything I needed. TV with working remote, fridge, etc. Some might miss the standard coffee maker, but coffee is available at the front desk. Wi-Fi was weak at my room and a bit slow. Still I was a happy camper. I had been staying up the street at a high rated hotel that in my opinion was over priced, NOISY (slamming doors) interior corridor type. Although this is not a really modern motel it's still very, very good. First, it's VERY clean, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the carpet is good, there's plenty of parking, the rooms have both a microwave oven and small fridge with small freezer. The nightly rates are inexpensive and a really great value! The motel is very near a park, a gasoline station, a rental business, beautiful old time steam engine train, golf course, convenience store, car wash, fast food and good Mexican, traditional American and breakfast restaurant. It's easy to get on and off the interstate highway. The owners are not of India rather long-time local and extremely friendly and helpful. Although not a luxury motel I'd rate it very, very high.

Terrible customer service when calling for information and to potentially book a room. Full disclosure: I have not stayed at this motel / property; however, I called them to get their nightly and extended stay rate (2-3 weeks) while working a project in the Las Vegas, NM area. ||||I guess they have all the business / customers they would like. It started of like this when I asked whom I was speaking with. She said "Who do you want to talk to?". I said: I would like to speak to someone that can tell me the nightly and extended stay rates." She then said "Well, I don't know who you want to talk to." ||||Hmmm....thinking to myself....I don't know anyone there, so how would I know whom to ask for. This motel is very quaint and has a nice hometown/small town intimate appeal. The owners are of the generation of mid twentieth century when courtesy and respect were much more common place than modern day expectations of the me generation with the attitude of being catered to. ||||This place is clean, quiet, and friendly. The claim of the guest that they picked up bedbugs here is completely FALSE. We have been here for three months and have made friends with the other monthly tenants, none of which have ever seen any bugs or other vermin. So let's dispell that myth right here and now. ||||Whether staying a night or two, a week, or a month the Town House Motel is THE place to stay.
