Totem Motel

Recently renovated, new linens, and a fantastic owner. There was two changes to my reservation, and the owner Jim was super friendly and more than accommodating. It's super close to the Amtrak station in case you need to catch a train, and the room was extremely clean. Has great wifi and cable package too. 10/10 will be back.

Great mattress, fairly uneventful sleep but 2 trains here, no ice mach-bring your own. This is a barebones place, no coffee closeby or in the room, no bfast of course but the price is right. Go get a nice bfast in town some blocks away. It's worth the price but check everything when checking in, we didn't and needed toilet tissue but we had some with us so OK. The soap just as well may be none. Its a clean place and Jim, the owner is really great but he's not there a lot and the staff is not either. Still, it is worth the price or pay DBL down the road. There was very poor fuzzy TV picture , lots of channels, did have a TV scoll for channels,but Jim said he'll look into the fuzzy picture, may be a loose connection behind the TV.

The owner was extremely accommodating. It's inexpensive, quiet (well the whole town has trains running through it all the time) but it's clean, the bed is comfortable, they have a/c and wifi and decent TV stations. Can't get much cheaper, I just needed a place for a couple nights and he cut me a deal. Very nice knowledgeable owner. Why pay more?

It's an older place. But has that comfy feel. The owner is a good guy. He also has many house and apartment rentals locally. If your new to town he would rather put you in a real place them have you paying the monthly tab on the motel.

I decided to spend the night in Shelby Montana on my way to Glacier National Park after a long day driving. On my GPS was a list of hotels. I called the Totem and asked if they had rooms available. They did and when I asked how much I was told $39.00. I arrived to a very old, very outdated motel dated probably from the 50's. After a long day on my motorcycle I just wanted a place to sleep. I probably should of kept going after I saw the shape of the place, but I didn't. The door to the room barely closed and locked. No double bolt. A huge crack in the only window with tape over it. Filthy, dirty carpet, one light on the ceiling and when I turned on the shower, rusty water came out of the showerhead! || On a good note the tv worked fine, I didn't see any bugs in the room and the bed wa
