Tonkawa Casino RV Park

Right behind a truck stop. So make of that what you will, .03 from I-35, Nice layout. We got stuck here for 3 days expected 1 due to weather. $33/night. Pit falls: floods when it rains, no rear entry to casino, trucks park feet from campers and run engine all,all,all all all night. Got maybe 1 full hour of sleep in 3 days. May have place to self, lot of day workers.

We started at the RV park and it was quiet and clean. It's not a place to enjoy the great outdoors but it was great for a stopover on a long journey. The Travel Plaza staff were very nice! The Travel Plaza had everything you could need. Walk to the casino too!

Large clean spots. Good access to a grassy area for the pets and far enough from the interstate to be quiet. Also right at a truck stop so fuel and getting back on the road is easy. Have a REALLY good water filter or bottled water. Our pump had very red water. Sites are generally level left to right, but have an incline so need some level front to back. For the price, $30 a night, not bad.

Clean RV Park. All concrete pads and all sites are pull thru. Pretty quiet. The pads need to be a little longer, but we were able to park our 40' 5th wheel there just fine. All sites are fairly level. No trees for shade, but the price was right. Check in at the convenience store. Nice little store with very friendly employees.

We stayed here for two nights. The campground is small with just 18 sites. It was clean and pretty quiet although we could hear highway traffic. It offers full hookup with 50 amps for a decent price ($30 + tax). We didn’t like how close together the sites were and the website says campers have access to the hotel pool but it was really far away to walk to. In fact, the campground is facing the back of the casino and hotel and there were no access points in the back. Also, the casino allows smoking so it’s really not a healthy environment to hang out in. Overall, this seems to be a good layover stop. Note: We were told they do not take reservations - it’s first come, first served. Pay at the gas station register in front of campground. (May 2024)
