Tioga Downs Hotel

There was free coffee on the signs entering the hotel then I learned that they don't even do breakfast n they want you to pay for it too .... Just saying even the best Western gives a slammin breakfast, you'd think the big nice casino would as well or even trump BW..... That's a neg Ghost Rider ohh and the coffee .... It was empty and I turn around from being teased for free coffee n a desk lady just watching my friend and I so we leave for 15 min come back thru and we're like hey maybe it's filled again ......... Neg it's so just not too inviting there no wonder when I left the lot was a frozen tundra of snow covered parking spaces might draw more custys by offering breakfast

One star is given only because it is impossible to submit a review without selecting a star. The actual rating is below zero. We made the hotel reservation in August for the period from December 30 to January 3. Upon arrival, we were informed that the reservation had been canceled by the manager in September. When we asked to speak with the manager, she was not available in person and only reachable by phone. As a result, we do not have a room for New Year’s Eve, and the staff says they cannot do anything to help. I do not recommend this hotel. I have never experienced a situation like this before. I strongly suggest avoiding this hotel.

Great service at check-in. Rooms are dated and need some updates. They are large and spacious which is nice. Fun location, attached to the casino and racetrack.

We tried to DRY CAMP here and were told we HAD TO stay and PAY for full hook ups even though we are fully self contained. So we did. On our return trip we called again and were told we could dry camp for the night. So we did. Another case of staff having no clue what Dry Camping is and insisting on paying for services we do not always need. Their parking lot is huge and Semi truck drivers are sleeping here, so why not RVers? It is clean and safe.They do run a tight ship here and we get it, but don't penalize the Tidy RVers because of the handful of Slob Rvers!

The thing that I loved most about this hotel is that they didn't knock and wake me up at 8 am. and every thirty minutes after, like a lot of hotels. They actually let me sleep up until close to checkout, which is noon. Also, thick walls, a nice environment outside the room, and inside the rooms have so many lighting options. It's super clean and the best bed ever. The price is undeniable for this hotel. The location is rural, and tbh the food sucks. There is slightly better food at gas station, a mile up the road for half the price.
