Thunderbird Motel - Bishop

Pleasantly surprised. Newly painted, cute interior and best sleep I’ve had in a hotel/motel. I felt like I was sleeping in my bed at home. We were checking in late around 11:30 and I called ahead and the gentlemen was very sweet. Could tell we woke him up and he let us in. If this is a family owned motel you can tell they take pride in their service. I liked that there was a cute note from house keeping to leave a tip. I like clear expectations and since the room was very clean, I obliged. Just needed a place to sleep for the night. 5/5 for a motel and price!

Our room with 2 king beds was not cheap. The towels and a washcloth were dirty. We arrived at 12:30 am and noticed later in the morning that the linens were dirty. I went to the front desk and asked that 5, of the towels and a washcloth be replaced. She assured me they would. The filthy towels were later replaced with others that were just as dirty. Take a look. Those towels and the washcloth are the replacements. Not as good as Motel 6.

About the cheapest rate I found. Older motel but well maintained. Rooms very clean, comfortable beds. Remodeling in progress. Coffee, nice TV, refrigerator, microwave, WIFI, Nice laminate flooring, good shower. Would stay again!||Only negative is tight parking lot.

Positive: Was spacious inside. Clean. Negative: Parking difficult. Shades super light/sound blocking (great) BUT also super air blocking, "hermetically sealed. Inner/outer "shades" only went up/down, encased inside a frame. Also, I got a handicap room. Shower arrangement was weird and unpleasant.

Budget motel. Location and service were average. Our room was clean except for the bed. The fitted sheet and the top sheet were clean.But underneath those, the mattress pad had hair and stains.
