Thunderbird Boutique Hotel

This felt like a scam. There was a hidden fee—we paid the full amount online, but were charged again on-site for another part of the booking upon arrival. While the photos online looked appealing, the actual room was very small and had a bad odor. There was significant noise in the evening and morning, which made it difficult to sleep. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Positive: Nice air conditioner ... loved the walk in shower with glass doors! Spaciousness! Offered Coffee in the room. Negative: ThePool closed to soon.

The hotel charges an extra daily amenities/resort fee (about $19 per day) on top of the room price, which honestly feels like a hidden charge. There really aren’t many amenities to justify it. The area around the hotel also feels pretty sketchy and not very safe at night. Overall, the experience didn’t match the price and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Rooms were mostly clean with decent bed and bathroom. The rating reflects their sheisty little scam to extort a few more dollars out of unsuspecting renters that goes as follows. Reserved a room on hotels for 70 bucks, show up to check in, clerk says you have a balance of 25 dollars, and explains there's an "amenities fee". Guys, what amenities that are worth 25 bucks? Two 50 cent water bottles? Keep em. You'd save face if you just charged 95 dollars off the bat. Why foul people's experience with this janky motel with these shady, annoying schemes?

I love taking stay-cations at Thunderbird! The price is right. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. It’s in the perfect spot downtown, close to everything; all my favorite restaurants and casinos. Christina at the front desk is super efficient and always takes care of everything I need and I never have to worry about any room issues cause even when there is some small problem, she gets it corrected for me immediately and without any of the headaches I’ve had to put up with elsewhere. Always a great experience.
