This is a decent landing if you are going to paddle the lower Flambeau River down to Flater's Resort or the County D landing on the Chippewa. You used to be able to launch directly in the little side channel, but they essentially put a shingle bridge to the big rock bar in the middle of the channel. We were able to drive right out into that, but any non AWD vehicle will need to stay up on high ground. Parking is a bit limited and the terrain is a bit treacherous in general.
Not far from home. Husband and I will come here for fishing, swimming, kayaking, boating with friends, tubing.
Put in boats for river trip.
