The Village Inn at East Burke

We enjoyed a delightful 4 night stay here in early January. The Inn was a perfect location for visiting family nearby as well as enjoying the many scenic places nearby, including Burke Mountain, St. Johnsbury, Lyndonville and even the Eastern Townships in Quebec (only an hour away). The Inn was picture-postcard Vermont outside and the interior did not disappoint, with lovely, spacious and pristine rooms that were very comfortable. The Inn features a comfy sitting area and a kitchen open to guests (the coffee was appreciated). The gracious host/owners were always available with tips for the local area and chats. The Village Inn in East Burke, VT meets all our needs when we are visiting family in the village of East Burke. We have stayed here a few times in recent years and have always had a positive experience. The inn is small but the rooms are each unique and well-appointed. We love the amenities, especially the guest kitchen, hot tub, comfortable lounge on the main level, and Hazel’s Tap Room next door. We truly feel that we can make ourselves at home and relax. This is an affordable option and much nicer than most other short-term rentals because of all of amenities and convenience. I highly recommend the Village Inn.

I stayed at the Village Inn in October. It is one of the best lodging experiences I have ever had. The Inn is charmingly historic yet in excellent condition. I loved the shared kitchen and cozy living room; having coffee at the kitchen table each morning was lovely. Room #5 was considerably larger than I expected and had a very cozy sitting area and lovely porch. The management had taken great care to accommodate mountain bikers; it was easy to wheel bikes into the walk-out basement storage room, and they had bike tools, a bike stand and laundry facilities nearby. The hot tub and outdoor kitchen was really cool too! It was also just a short walk to the public house for dinner. I didn't have the opportunity to visit the taphouse next door but it looked really charming too.

What an amazing, relaxing place to stay! So many fun things to do locally. We went skiing at Burke Mountain, sledding at Darling Hill, and grabbed a beer next door at Hazel’s Tap Room! There’s a beautiful sauna on site along with a hot tub. The owners of this fabulous inn are so friendly and knowledgeable on the area! Can’t wait to come back and stay at this beautiful inn!

My husband and I LOVED our stay here! It’s such a beautiful town, and this was the most beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The owners are so kind and helpful, the inn itself is so clean and peaceful, and there is a beautiful creek and sitting area behind the inn to relax. The beds are super comfy. There is also coffee every morning in the shared kitchen (along with other conveniences) which is a huge perk for me LOL. We have stayed in other Vermont towns, but this stay was my favorite!
