I spent three incredible days on guided float trips with The Trout Shop in Craig, Montana, and it was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate, putting us on big, beautiful trout day after day while sharing expert tips and local insight. The Missouri River scenery was breathtaking — every float offered peaceful views and that authentic Montana charm. The Trout Shop is a top notch, full service outfitters. They have a well organized, wide selection of gear you’ll need to have success on the Missouri River. The place is truly a joy to visit and well organized. The owner is wonderful to chat with and super friendly.

Everything you need! One stop shop. Get your place to stay, your guide and anything you forgot you need! I happened on a fantastic Patagonia rain jacket that was out of sale online. Yay me. The lodge is better than expected, clean, quiet and roomy. Come to Craig! Fish your heart out.

Fantastic and friendly fly shop that has everything! When I first arrived into town, I felt like a lost tourist. When I went inside looking for my guide, breakfast, and phone service - they helped me out! They said I could use my phone underneath their cellular repeater located the front door. I had no idea that there was a lack of cellular signal in Craig because I saw the Verizon coverage map showing a good signal... The shop then said the burrito shop across the road is not yet open but their cafe is. So I got a very yummy hot breakfast burrito made the way I wanted. With this super friendly shop, it's worth a stop here for sure. They carry all the fly fishing stuff you can ask for!
