The Sunset Nooks

Oh man, what can we say about Cory that hasn’t already been said. Do yourself a favour and spend 1 night here and meet the most welcoming, kind, friendly, caring, etc man you could meet. A bundle of energy, stories, and laughs. 1 night and you have a friend for life. And his little rescue dog Lil’ Bit is a sweetheart. Cory’s hand dug hand made BMX course is a marvel of hard work and craftsmanship. Sandi and I are so glad we met you Cory! Cheers, Gord

Nice place to camp on the way from CA to NM. The space is well-maintained and is stocked with camp chairs, tables, fire pit, charcoal grill, hummingbird feeder, potable water and a clean porta potty. The host Cory was not on the property and we never met him but was available through call and text to answer any questions. The entrance was difficult to find at night as there was no sign and we had to open and close 2 large gates with no trespassing signs (one at the road/ private drive and one at the campground) in order to access the site. Security cameras everywhere. There is a beautiful private lake nearby with a large variety of wild bird life, catch and release fishing, swimming, and colorful rocks/pebbles to collect. Not sure what that advertising pic is. The bathroom is a rough smelling port- a- let. The shower is cold and open air. It is not neat or well maintained. The parking area has a white van and other vehicles spread around. Corey has music playing, good selection, but I like the desert quiet. Random vehicles in and out. Several"fighter jets" screamed across the sky about 8pm, helicopters, not sure if something going down In spite of all this, slept well. Just kind of sketchy

Great place to camp. Quiet and the host Cory is just a really cool and friendly guy. There’s these really cool mesquite trees and he’s got picnic tables bbq w/charcoal utensils, water, there’s also a fire pit with firewood all over the property. It was quiet and you can definitely see all the stars, out here. There’s a really cool lake near by and it was just an all around cool place to go.
