The Sewanee Inn

We only spent one night here but we loved it! ||The decor is elegant and fits tastefully in with the campus architecture and the surrounding forest. Very clean with very nice furnishings (the bed was GREAT!). They were sprucing up the hallways…a good sign they intend to keep their standards high!||The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and even provided what is now an “old fashioned” service: an evening turndown!||The service for breakfast was also excellent but the food was a mixed bag. My Sewanee Inn Breakfast was good but my wife described her Eggs Benedict as “looking microwaved”! ||We are looking forward to another visit soon!!

We had an incredible stay at The Sewanee Inn a couple of weekends ago while in town for a wedding. Both Sewanee and the Inn exceeded our expectations in every way. This was truly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in—the staff was exceptional, the property impeccable, the food delicious, and housekeeping outstanding. The lavender cookies with turndown service each night were such a thoughtful touch. The Inn itself is beautiful—like a cozy, well-designed living room or a refined home library. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect spot for a weekend getaway or quiet staycation. We were already planning our next visit before we even left. Kudos to management and the entire team—The Sewanee Inn is a true gem.

First time visiting, loved the staff really inviting and friendly. Would most definitely stay again in the future.

We had a great stay here at Sewanee Inn. We stopped while passing through for one night but have discussed coming back to stay again. We loved the rustic charm. It was quiet and cozy but not so far that it took forever to get to. The stay was very friendly as well. Our meal in their dining room was excellent. It was the little touches throughout the inn that also gave it that feeling of being pampered.

Stayed one night after dropping our daughter at a Sewanee camp. The Inn is solid—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We had a king room with a nice view of the golf course. Good bar setup too. Grabbed a glass of wine and sat outside for a bit, which was a great way to wind down. Had dinner at Shakerag and it didn’t disappoint. Food was excellent and our server was genuinely friendly—just knew how to handle a table. After dinner, we walked down to Green’s View. Super quiet and peaceful. All in all, a great place to stay if you’re in Sewanee.
