The Sea Gypsy Inn

Reviews had prepared me for the Sea Gypsy Inn. It is an older house that has been amatuerishly cobbled into small rentals. Similar buildings are rather close. The AC worked well to provide white noise enough to cover most of the road noise and partiers for our stay--just be aware. We stayed in the smallest unit. It has a well equipped kitchen, a tiny bathroom (the lowest ceiling you ever imagined, don't book this unit if you are over 5'8") and a small living/bedroom area with a fold out futon. That was comfortable enough for sleeping but tough to walk around if nature calls at night. The patio was terrific for lounging and eating al fresco (good since we had no table inside). Everything clean enough, but some mold/mildew/corrosion as you would expect so close to beach. SO close it makes th

It was incredibly close to the beach! The room was very clean! Front desk lady was super nice! BUT...rundown, heat pump spit gobs of black stuff, futons were not fit to be slept on, wifi sucked, broken seating outside our room.

The owner (Scott) was very accommodating. He went out of his way to help me with renting the room, because I was having computer issues. He also helped me out with a ride to and from the airport. This meant the world to me! The efficiency apartment was perfect for my solo trip! It was clean, and fully stocked w/ all I needed. The futon gave me some sass, but I figured it out! This place is literally steps from the white, sandy beach & the Gulf! I LOVED the fact that the Beach Pub was right behind me. Everyone there was so friendly & helpful. The gals in the office at the Sea Gypsy were very sweet, and gave me wonderful advise on where to eat, what to see, etc. I will return to this little treasure on the Gulf. I could live here!

Not very impressed. Very casual and basic. Crazy cold upon arrival, had to switch off air con. Couldn't fold out the sofa bed and ended up sleeping on top of the sofa itself, which was not that comfortable. Left me with an unclean feeling. Wifi didn't work. The whole place had an outdated feel to it. Won't stay there again. ||Only good thing is that it's close to the beach.

Always AMAZING!!!! My husband & I have stayed at 5 different beach rental properties Scott has to offer & we've loved them all.. They are always clean, cozy & unique in their own awesome way. Scott is the best host I've ever worked with, he has great communication, lots of beach properties to choose from & always within budget! We will be a customer for many years to come! Thanks, Scott!
