The Royal Sonesta Minneapolis Downtown

We couldn't have have had better service. I called around the city to find a hotel that doesn't house ICE officers. It was important to us to support a hotel that supports their community. I am from the guest service side of things in the hospitality industry and when I say the service we received from the guest service agent Michael was some of the best service I've ever received at a hotel I'm not exaggerating in the least. He was SOOOOOO courteous and very attentive to our requests as well as every other guest I saw him engaging with. When we were leaving an elderly guest was stuck in the parking ramp unable to figure out how to get out. And right before we were about to drive out here comes Michael running (literally running) through the garage to help this man. We were able to say goo

What an excellent experience! We were there for our kids’ Hallowedding and hosted our guests in the fabulous Dukes Den and the Wood & Paddle. Shout out to the amazing staff: Janae, Paul, and Preston at the front desk; Carlos and Kristin at Wood & Paddle; and Kaden and Tonya for helping arrange our stay. People make the difference, and Sonesta has great people!

Positive: The rooms were nice and bed was super comfortable. Negative: Staff was not welcoming at all and the fragrance/air fresheners were way too strong in the elevators, lobby and room. If anyone is sensitive to smells, you will get a migraine here.

The staff is AMAZING. Especially Brittany, Zach, and Paul!!! So so accommodating and sweet. Truly went out of their way for us to have a great time. And a perfect location too! <5 minute walk to the target center. The whole hotel was so clean and the underground parking was great. I’ll be staying here for every trip to downtown from now on!! I can’t express how sweet and caring everyone that works there is. Brittany and Zach made checking in a breeze and even gave us some fun extras to make our stay so special!!

Ronald and zac are awesome!!! They are so kind and friendly and easy to work with. We got a room for 1 night but decided to add a second night. They said we would have to checkout and re check in the next day which was fine. They let us sleep in and marked off the room for us so no one disturbed us and let us re check in at our convenience. Super nice of them! I wish all hotels had staff as friendly and kind as they are! Would definitely recommend anyone to book a stay at this hotel. The rooms are very clean and spacious and I can connect the tv with Bluetooth to play music that I like which was the icing on the cake!! 10 out 10 experience!!!
