The Red Barn Village

My wife and I used the Red Barn Village Country Suite as a "base camp" to visit and kayak at 11 PA State Parks in NEPA. We liked the location, being in the country but only minutes from Clarks Summit. Quite and peaceful. Spent one evening reading in the outside gazebo. Spent 5 nights here. We loved the homey feel with the use of antiques, comfy couch, art work and card table. Very clean. Better than most national hotel chains. Huge bathroom with great shower and massive hot tub. Plenty of hot, hot water and strong pressure. Raised paneled white wainscoting with chair rail on all walls. Bed was a bit soft for our tastes, but slept great. If I can offer a word of advice for anyone thinking of staying here, it would be do not, do not, DO NOT. I had what was one of the most regretful experiences of any hotel/B&B stay of my entire life. I lived in the Clarks Summit area for half of my life and drove past the Red Barn Village many, many times in years past. It always looked well taken care of and had a busy looking market. It's been a few years past and was looking for accomodations in the area for a family members funeral. From my past experience, I thought this would be a great place to stay for the weekend. I was so, so wrong. I had booked the room for Friday and Saturday night. I drove up Friday night, arriving at 12 am to find a room that was used but not cleaned. I was unable to reach anyone for assistance so I had to scr

I was very disappointed in the Silo Suite. The entire suite was disgustingly dusty with a musty smell. As I write this there are small bugs flying around. There were no instructions in the room. Could not find the TV remote. I called and texted them, and got no response. The mattress is so old, the springs were in the middle of my back. There were no hand towels in the bathrooms and the 2 washcloths and bath towels were hard as rock. We will never stay here again.

The best bed and breakfast experience I have ever had. Came here as a weekend getaway with my significant other and boy was it peaceful and relaxing. The place was a literal live in museum. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful, and the atmosphere was perfect. I hope now that the 2020 situation is coming to a close, if you are out traveling again, I suggest you visit the Red Barn Village B&B. You wont regret it!

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at this Cozy, Nostalgic, quiet, country set, bed and breakfast. We arrived to be greeted by our host Burt Ayers who was kind enough to provide us with the family history, along with different collectibles displayed everywhere. We reserved the Country Suite which was extremely clean and sanitized throughout. The jettub worked well ,room decor was perfect, and dinner recommendations by our host was more then expected, fantastic. Breakfast was served at 9am ,which was our preference,consisting of a beautiful country view, coffee, fresh fruit, juice, and homemade breads. Following we had Burts famous Ham and cheese omelets which were perfectly cooked and plated perfect||We give this bed and breakfast 4 stars and will definitely return. Thank you Burt for a
