The Palms On Ocean & Foodmart

We just finished a three night stay here and can't say enough good things about the motel. I will start with stating that we are not fancy hotel people. We don't require lush accommodations, as we would prefer to spend that extra money on experiences since we aren't using the room to do more than sleep. Palms on Ocean fit the bill. It offered a large, clean room with a king bed and a kitchenette. The outdoor area was clean and the pool was well maintained and in the sun most of the day. The owner was extremely friendly and check-in was a breeze. The location could not be beat, either. The only suggestion I would have for the particular room we stayed in (18) would be to add a full length mirror, as the only mirror was a medicine cabinet in the small bathroom. Check-in was easy and quick, which is a great way to start a beach stay. Minor hiccup — misheard the room number and accidentally made fast friends with the folks in Room 10 🤷🏽‍♂️🤣 (shoutout to them for being cool). First impression: classic-style beach motel. The king studio offered a surprisingly large, open room with a kitchenette and dining table. Fully stocked with plates, glasses, and silverware. The room is a bit dated, but everything is clean, functional, and comfortable — which honestly matters more to me than trendy finishes. The shower had excellent water pressure (always a win after a beach day), and the overall setup worked perfectly for relaxing between outings. We paid in advance for one night. But on arrival I had to produce a driving license or passport which I did not have with me so had to get a taxi back to our friends. The room was clean and well appointed. The general fabric of the premises is in need of refurbishment. The cleanliness of the pool looked a bit suspect.

The room is clean and roomy. Has a good size fridge and an electric stove plus microwave and a small counter with sink, they also provide basic kitchenware. Cozy and clean. The bathroom is clean and towels are clean. I can nit pick the place but the room is a modest place for a decent price. I like modest places so if you’re expecting luxury that’s not the place to land.
