The Padre Motel

We 100% stay here again. The motel has been here since the 40s, so it is a bit dated but it's clean and you have everything you need. There are two bedrooms with a queen bed in each and a pull out couch. Amazing shower pressure and there are a ton of food options nearby. The owner was fantastic, such a kind and accommodating gentleman. When asked he got us a hairdryer and extra sheets for the pull out bed. Definitely where we will stay again!

Good value for your money. No breakfast included. The guy at the front desk (owner?) was very nice and gave us recommendations for food in the area. The parking lot gets tight on days the hotel sells out. The rooms are very clean and the shower water is hot. There wasn't a TV in our bedroom, but there was one in a small walkway area between the two bedrooms. A mini fridge and coffee are in each room.

I had the pleasure to stay here the week of the escalante plein air festival. The hotel is in the process of being updated so yes, it is dated like other reviewers have mentioned. But the mattress is amazing, bedding crisp and clean, everything is spotless. The location is great! Right across the street from Nemo’s for burgers and within 1-2 minutes from everything else in town. The owner is very helpful and my stay was very pleasant. I hope to be back next year!

What a great motel, super clean, great bedding! Yes it is old but that adds to the charm of the place. Best shower pressure of any place we’ve stayed on our 2 week trip so far. Book this cute motel and support local businesses.

Great experience at the Padre! We came through Escalante on the back end of a cross-country trip and needed a room on a Saturday night. Padre had just what we needed, for a good cost -- we got a room with two queen beds, and it turned out to be two separate rooms! Staff was great, and the location is excellent right in the middle of the main drag. Top marks!
