Escalante Escapes

LOVED every minute. Everything was immaculate. We had everything we needed for our couple of days there. Nights were so fun to see all the deer around. My nephew was thrilled that 'smokey' the cat would be on the patio every morning to visit him. Everything was peaceful and just what we needed. I would stay here again for sure.

We needed a little break from campervan life, so we decided to stay for four nights at Escalante Escapes. I never leave reviews, but felled compelled to do so in this case, as we had such an excellent experience. We were greeted by Frank the owner, and enjoyed learning about the place and talking about fly fishing. The units were gorgeous, really well designed, clean, and very private. It was so nice to pull right up to the space and to have a washer and drier. We would absolutely stay here again.

Our family of four stayed here for two nights on our trip to visit the Mighty Five national parks in Utah. We stayed in the Prickly Pear and it was perfect size for us and looked brand new! ||We cooked dinner and grilled out both nights and slept well in the quiet location of the property. We had a surprise fire alarm go off in the middle of the night the first night and the property management had the batteries replaced the very next morning. No other issues although it was likely my lack of knowledge on how to properly use the convection oven/microwave combo. We cooked brownies one night and they just never seemed to”done”. Escalante Escapes absolutely exceeded our expectations. The tiny home was beautifully built and thoughtfully designed—perfect for two people. The property itself is very well kept, with gorgeous views that made the stay feel serene and restorative, truly a welcome break from “city life.” Inside, everything was spotless and well stocked. The kitchen had all the tools and appliances we needed, all in great condition, which made cooking easy and enjoyable. A wonderful bonus was the wildlife and friendly animals around the property. We spotted deer right outside, and even got daily visits from some neighborhood cats. One in particular—a sweet, friendly black cat—stole our hearts by making himself at home in our living room. We communicated multiple times ahead of our trip to ensure this was a safe location for us with medical needs related to scents. We were communicated with after multiple attempts and told everything was ok, only to drive 9 hours and find the home unsafe. Our children slept in sleeping bags and we had to leave early and drive 5 additional hours for a safe place. Area was beautiful and would have loved to explore but we were not accommodated. Word of caution, our vehicle was also damaged and when discussing it outside the tiny home another couple staying walked up to us and stated they had the same thing happen.
