Customer Reviews
First time visiting this part of the panhandle. Needed a pet friendly spot & since I love an old Florida vibe, OCH seemed to fit the bill. We stayed in the Captain’s Quarters & found it to be very comfortable & quiet. Nice linens & pillows. Very cozy. Even though the bathroom is across the hall, it still seemed private & was blocked off from the rest of the first floor. I LOVED the large size. Shower was great. High ceilings make it seem even larger. The only issues preventing 5 stars is the super musty smell in the closet & the rugs / carpet could use replacing/cleaning. Otherwise, it was quite charming, good location (short walking distance from town) & friendly, extremely helpful host. Try the nearby SOS Galley food truck & Bow tie bakery. Both 10/10!
We were told that the building has new owners. Our room was great. The place is very cute. Cool spot to stay. I would highly recommend staying here. The owners have so work to do, so let's support small business!
We stayed in the off season during a cold winter advisory. It was quiet. No tv in room. Looks like it might be fun in the spring/summer/fall season. Last minute stop. We had to register over the phone. No one on site but we got in easy.
We have stayed at this hotel three times and it is our favorite spot in the area. Its a quaint, cozy, historic house only a 5 minute walk from the water in Carrabelle. The only thing that would make it better is a hot breakfast. We'll be returning soon!
The Old Carrabelle Hotel is great! It's literally in the heart of downtown Carrabelle (not even 1/2 block from all the "action"). Quaint, nostalgic old house and the A/C was fantastic! We enjoyed the Carrabelle Museum and the Camp Gordon Johnston Museum a few blocks away. (This is where the soldiers trained before the storming the beaches o f Normandy.) Fascinating. A few great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Fathoms had some amazing AHI tuna and oysters (and local beer). It was a fun historical tour of an old Florida coastal town.
