The Mount Vernon Grand Hotel

The best hotel I’ve stayed at. It rivals or surpasses four star hotels of similar size. An obsessive focus on guest services, indulgent rooms, perfect location, and delicious hot breakfast. All at an unbelievably affordable rate. It’s the only place I stay when in Mt. Vernon. I only wish there were similar hotels in other cities I visit. Highly recommend.

As I’m writing this it’s 7:36pm and I have been on the road since 3:30am, this was a beautiful hotel to come to after my long journey, very clean rooms and amazing staff. Walking distance to many places, currently I’m at the flapper bar and grill enjoying a wonderful meal while listening to live music. 10/10 recommend this hotel in a very quaint little town.

Stayed here for one night during a cross country trip. This hotel is a rebuild of the original building that was lost to fire. They have done a nice job of keeping the character of the original hotel. There is complimentary coffee and lemonade in the lobby. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. Bathroom was modern with a nice shower. Hotel is nearby to a couple nice restaurants and right on the town square. Parking was included with a large lot. Breakfast is worth having. Would stay here again.

Positive: The hotel is new but modeled after an old hotel on the site, which makes the hotel feel grand (e.g., nice sitting areas and curve staircases). The room was spacious and bright with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was tasty (e.g., real eggs!) Negative: ""

Rooms were clean and well accommodated with a refrigerator, keurig, and good linens. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good with lots of options. The menu was different the two days we were there. The 24 hr coffee, lemonade and tea service was nice. The town is very cute and will definitely return!
