The Motel By the Sea

I stayed at the Motel by the Sea for 5 nights for Paramotor training across the street. The room was spacious and very clean. The customer service from Gary & Roxie is top notch. They are genuinely nice people and it shows they love their business and treat you like a guest in their home. I told my trainer to continue suggesting that location for future students to stay as you can just walk across the street to get to the training location. The wind / weather is perfect for Paramotor training, well at least it was during the end of November. I'm sure earlier in the summer is a different story with the desert heat.

This place is a hidden gem. Gary and Roxy are incredible people. The service here is amazing. It isn't like you're staying at a motel, its like you're staying at a friends house. Anything you need they are happy to help. Bonus if you are here to paramotor. They accommodate anything you need. Great people!! I can't speak highly enough of this place. Can't wait to come back.

Gary & Roxie are lovely and generous hosts. The motel has become a home away from home and every room has an inviting feeling. Steps from the airport/LZ it’s very convenient and nothing beats a Salton sunset. The shared fridge and kitchen amenities also come in handy.

We only stayed for one night, but it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the room was quite spacious. Nice bathroom too. Gary is the best. His deep knowledge of the Salton Sea, both its past and future, made our stay even more interesting. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be staying longer next time.

If you are at the Salton Sea to enjoy some paramotor flights, The Motel By The Sea is a great place to stay. A short walk to the LZ and a quick flight to the canyons. An hour from the dunes at Glamis. The room was super clean and the hosts made sure I always had everything I needed. Whether just driving through or staying for an extended period of time, I wouldn't hesitate to call The Motel home again.
