The Midway

Still Awesome After All These Years! I hadn’t been back to the Midway Arcade at Circus Circus in years, and it was such a pleasant surprise to see it’s still as fun, lively, and catered towards family and kids as I remembered. The arcade games are way more interesting than other arcades I’ve been to lately — they actually have Dance Dance Revolution, plus games like Transformers and the Rabbids shooter, which I’ve not seen anywhere else. Prices are very reasonable too, especially compared to other arcades that overcharge these days, and to everything sterile and devoid of life MGM has transformed Vegas into. This felt like the old Vegas I remember and love, and gives me a reason to come back to this city.

Not a great experience, we didn’t know about the extra games upstairs which was a mistake on our part but we didn’t realize that we got no points on any games downstairs because there were no signs and no one around to ask questions. When we finally went upstairs we played the balloon dart game and the lady swiped our card 3 times for one game. Luckily we were suspicious & checked our balance right after. When we pointed it out she denied until we showed her the screen and finally gave my brother the chance to play but I think they should have either given the points back so we could choose our own game instead of having to waste our points on a scam game again or at least given an extra chance to win. You need to focus on your management you got going on manger plays favoritism lets people break the rules and only gives verbal warnings to people she doesn’t seem to favorite. And what’s sad is that you can’t even say anything without the manager backing them up I’ve seen one of the girls there for pm shift MAYLENIE AYALA bring her boyfriends to play games and she plays them to. Ridiculous I’ve seen this happen a few months ago and I’m not sure if she’s done it again. Shame on you Alan for not looking into none of this or bothering to care when I know you’ve heard something related to this before.

I’d give the Midway three stars. The arcade is actually pretty fun, with lots of games that kids will love. But there’s a strong smell of cigarettes coming from the casino, which is hard to escape because the ceilings are low and the ventilation isn’t great. The circus show was a little weird—the timing and coordination felt off and made it kind of awkward. Still, I’d recommend the arcade and the show if you have little ones with you. They’ll definitely have a blast, even if it’s not perfect. Just be prepared for the smoky air if you’re sensitive to smells. And while the show isn’t top-notch, it’s still a unique experience that kids will remember.
