The Martinsburg

We had an amazing stay at The Martinsburg! We spent two days here and it was the perfect Hill Country getaway. The cabin is beautiful, modern, and extremely well kept. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and details to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. The location is fantastic — peaceful and surrounded by the rolling hills, yet still very close to Fredericksburg and several great wineries. Being within walking distance to Pedernales Cellars was a huge plus for us. The cabin was very clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Absolutely loved the place. Hosts. we're responsive and we had a welcoming card and a map of nearby Fredericksburg. They left us a bottle of wine and 2 tokens for 2 for 1 wineries in the area, which we definitely took advantage of. place was very clean and true to the pictures. The area is remote and private and if you are looking to get away and enjoy peace and quiet and nature, this is a very good option. Made us talk about trying to recreate something like it closer to where we are located.

Let me start off by saying — TRAVELING GIVES ME ANXIETY !!! However, as soon as I drove I to the property it was a sense of peace. The hosts were super sweet & great communicators! I loved the view — whether it was sunrise or sunset. The cleanliness of the airbnb was phenomenal! I hate that I didn’t stay longer. Worth the price I paid? Hell, I feel like I should’ve paid more… & I would’ve! I will definitely be back.

The staff was friendly and very responsive—any time we had questions, they were easy to get ahold of via text. We were looking for a quiet getaway, and that’s exactly what we got. The space felt intimate without feeling too closed in, which we really appreciated. Just what I needed…my husband planned this trip for our wedding anniversary. I had no clue where we were going and quite frankly I was a little apprehensive about allowing him to choose my lodging accommodations lol…My uneasiness quickly came to an end when we approached the gates that said “The Martinsburg….” Typically our vacations are full of “hustle and bustle” from one excursion/adventure to the next, lights, actions, and although fun, we typically need a vacation after the vacation lol… this trip was completely different than our norm, but it was very well enjoyable and needed!
