The Manor at Courtland Farm

I stayed at The Manor At Courtland Farm in July. I needed a quick getaway for myself and my daughters and so we chose the farm because it is located in Virginia wine county. Driving up the driveway you are greeted by horses which was a very delightful sight to see. We then drove over a cute little bridge and drove up the winding road that led us to the Manor house on the hill . The view from the house is breathtaking to say the least. You look down on horse pastures, and you can see views all around you. The manor house is clean and well-kept and so are the grounds. The staff was absolutely delightful. I had such a phenomenal stay at this property, and it completely exceeded my expectations! ||I was very hesitant to confirm a reservation here, due to the number of negative reviews that I saw. After doing a bit of investigation, I realized that the reviews were all coming from one group of people. And that the other individual reviews for this place were quite positive. ||I decided to step out on faith and book the hotel, and I am so happy that I did. The property is gorgeous, serene and peaceful. I was upgraded up on arrival for a room with incredible views. Premium location! My wife attended a ladies overnight getaway at the Manor at Courtland Farm, and she was amazed. The rooms were beautiful. The house was an ideal setting for this event. The outdoor pool was open and available. The on site chef prepared gourmet meals. What's not to love?! I think this would also be a perfect venue for a small wedding. Highly recommended, and we look forward to returning soon.

“I had a distressing experience while trying to book my wedding at this venue, which I feel compelled to share. My interaction started during a time of transition for the property, as it was being sold to a new owner. After discussing details and signing my original contract with an employee who was later let go, I received a new contract that was vague and lacked clarity. Despite being initially promised various amenities and packages over the phone, it soon became evident that the staff and the still owner, Clifton, were not being forthright about what was included. When I attempted to formally withdraw from the contract within the grace period of 14 days, the response I received was unexpectedly aggressive. We loved our stay at The Manor. We were visiting family in the area as well as celebrating our wedding anniversary. The house overlooks rolling pastures and distant mountains and a total feeling of serenity surrounded us. We enjoyed our suite, which was an upgrade and we were served a wonderful anniversary dinner. Breakfasts were delicious. We were treated like family from the welcome through our departure. Our hostess was such a joy.
