The Lorca Adirondacks

I had a wonderful stay at The Lorca in Long Lake. It’s a clean quant little place with simple rustic decor. The coffee bar was a bonus! Coffee, teas and oatmeal! Bedding, towels, soaps/shampoo/conditioner included. Hot shower. The host had excellent quick communication. That being said there were a few minor things (not even inconveniences but enough to note). They offer free WiFi but there is no cell service or tv (which I knew ahead of time), in the summer I wouldn’t mind this at all but those winter nights are long 😂. The main heater didn’t work well but a space heater is provided which quickly got the room up to a cozy 72 degrees. The bathroom sink drips, I was able to adjust the drain so it stopped making a sound. Again these are very minor things that did not affect my stay enough to

We love the Squaw Brook motel for our getaways to the Adirondacks. Convenient to Indian lake and Blue mountain.Nice family that owns it and they make you feel welcome! Very clean and cozy and affordable! Nice breakfast on the enclosed front porch. The only thing I would add to the breakfast is some hot water to make tea:) We can't wait to go back!

Visiting with family in the area and this motel is the best near Indian Lake. Comfortable room with just what we needed, nothing extra. Pool closed but why would you want a pool with all of the lakes near by. Nice and quite with no troubles.

What a perfect place to rest our heads. Clean and well appointed. We loved the lighting and the tea pot and glass cups and bedding was super cozy. It was a quick overnight but we’d definitely come back!

Spent two nights here in July 2025. My husband, me and our adult son. Though the rooms were very clean and what I might call shabby chic, some things were less than ideal. Here are our criticisms: not enough outlets to account for charging phones, Cpap machines and still have lights; ventilation with all the windows wide open, was quite bad so with it more than 80-degrees out we were sweltering at bedtime; inadequate lighting, with one light over one of the beds for reading that gave off way too much heat; when we arrived we had no idea how to check in or get our key because we never received the email we were supposedly sent the previous day (we were not the only ones in this predicament and we were informed of a number to call to get the information by other guests who’d had the same
