The Loon View

Since the lake was still frozen, no loons. But beautiful sunrise with lovely doe walking along deck. Spacious, wonderful, and relaxing. Will be back to play disc golf 💗☀️🎉🥰

We came to stay here while working remotely, just as a change of scenery. The internet was capable of two concurrent video meetings, and everything about the place was perfect for a human-free getaway. Walking along the Canadian border, playing with the frozen lake, walking in the peaceful snowy landscape and looking at animal footprints, all is perfectly idyllic.

My wife and I had a fantastic week at the Loon View. We went to explore the area and rest. The house was like being at home except we didn't have to clean it. The house met my wife's high standards for cleanliness and comfort. Plenty to explore in the area. Great location if you hunt, snowmobile, or drive four wheelers. I had the opportunity to kayak on beautiful Lake Francis. We explored a lot of quiet roads looking for wildlife. Almost hit a bear. Yikes. Going up to the Canadian border was a beautiful drive. Plenty of places to eat or do takeout. Make sure you visit Green Acres to try their enormous sticky buns. Get there early before they run out. Hope you have as good a time as we did.

We’ve stayed at the Loon View three times now. The beauty and serenity of the spot never gets old. There are great places to visit and eat around Pittsburg but just sitting on the deck and enjoying the view is our favorite. The home is immaculate and the owners are great to work with.

Had a blast staying at The Loon View this weekend and sailing! Also did a little kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, board gaming, oh and not to ever be forgotten- eating!!! The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, etc. For cooking eggs🍳,pancakes, bacon and delicious sausage gravy. The grill provided outside made perfect corn 😍🌽 And more! Rob and Susan are so gracious and accomodating, I cant wait to go again! As the terminator once said- "I'll, be, back"😀.
