The Lodges at Oak Point

This place, and April and Roger, deserve way more than 5 stars! We stayed here for our honeymoon, and we're so glad we chose The Lodges at Oak Point! We enjoyed hanging out on the porch swing, and the enclosed porch was nice to avoid bugs while still enjoying the night air. We used the kayaks one day which was great, and they had everything you needed including life jackets and oars. The location was also great - roughly 25 minutes from both Alex Bay and Ogdensburg, so we also spent a day to explore both. April and Roger were communicative and kind from the time we reserved the cottage all the way to the time we checked out, and you could tell it was important to them we enjoyed our stay (which we did)! Really can't recommend this place enough.

The Lodges at Oak Point were perfect for our vacation on the St Lawrence River. Our Lodge was clean and had all the necessary kitchen appliances and cookware we needed. The bedrooms were comfortable with each having fans to keep the summer evenings cool. Enjoyed cooking on the charcoal grill and having a relaxing fire in the fire pits. The new dock was fantastic to tie our boat off to. The bay has a sandy bottom and the water is waist high, perfect for enjoying the day or early evenings. The hosts, April and Roger are wonderful people who are very attentive and made our stay welcoming. A wonderful experience along the river! We'll be back!

We spent a family week at the Lodges and had a great time! The cabins were clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the use of the grills and picnic tables and were able to cook out and share meals with our entire group. Having use of the kayaks was great and we enjoyed early morning and sunset paddles. The little bay that the property sits on is beautiful with crystal clear water and gives a calm place for swimming away from boat traffic. April and Roger are great hosts and had tons of suggestions for activities in the area.

5 Stars on everything!! Roger and April were awesome!! My wife and I were there with the family and grandchildren. Perfect for the little ones and great for kayaking, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Thanks for everything!! Mike and Cherylynn.. Another annual 1000 Islands trip in the books.. Roger and April go out of their way to make it a great experience.. Oak Point is like stepping back in time, the inlet is always calmer than the actual river which makes it great for kayaking. We’ll be back every year, thanks for the hospitality, Roger and April!!!
