The Lodge On Lake Oconee by Brham

Beautiful place in a beautiful spot on a beautiful lake! Room and bed were excellent. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Overall, I have to say this was one of the better places I've stayed. It was so quiet and peaceful inside the hotel as well as outside by the lake. Granted its a little cold this time of year for water activities, but, the atmosphere surrounding the entire area was just calming and let me decompress from my usual mile a minute life. I would definitely go back here for business or for pleasure.

This was our first visit to this hidden gem will be our “go to” when visiting Milledgeville, where my husband’s family resides. Customer service at the front desk was amazing! Friendly, courteous and helpful. Also, my husband enjoyed fishing in the lake, associated with the lodge. He caught a few fish. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel with 5 stars. You will not be disappointed!

This place was a nice stay. The lady that greeted us was fantastic. The outdoor area is fantastic. The view was beautiful. However, the rooms need updating or repair or TLC...something. The toilet lever was broken and you had to hold it a special way to make it work. The second AC unit in our family suite not only quit blowing cold, but was billowing out so much hot air the room became unbearable. The unit would not shut off so at 2 in the morning half our party was moved to another room (thankfully). The pull out beds bedding was not washed and left wadded in the drawer which makes you wonder how thoroughly the room was cleaned and the bed itself has seen better days. First the bad. Dirty filters in the ac/heater unit. Dirty shower curtain and liner. Tub stopper threads stripped out. Used shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Not new ones. No soap for the shower. Numerous cracked tiles in the bathroom floor. Mini fridge that does not work. TV just sitting on the dresser. Should be higher on the wall. Furniture has a distressed look. No hot water in breakfast room for tea or oatmeal. Now the good. Spacious room layout. Adequate selection of channels on the TV. Rooms pretty clean. Nice bed and fabulous amenities. Good view of the lake even from the end of the hallway. Overall the room is in pretty good shape for 20 years. Great building layout on the first floor.
