Just not my cup of tea for camping.. Maybe just what someone else maybe looking for. Not a big place at all. At time of year I visited,, just looking it over,,, it could definitely use some cleaning up.. The beach area had soil erosion from heavy rains as of lately.. I'm sure they will fix it. Just wasn't for me area.. to each his own.....
100 stars for the calm and quiet lake, -100 stars for the people yelling at us in an empty parking lot that we had to move parking spots. All summer when there was loads of people, we would park in the boat trailer parking spots because it gave us a safe place to inflate our paddle boards and no one gave us grief. Now that there isn’t anyone at all parked in the lot, they won’t let us park there even when we explained. I get rules are important but we were not inconveniencing anyone. It’s definitely ruined this lake for us, do not recommend.
Campgrounds are tough to rate sometimes. What one person is looking for (peace and quiet) may be different from someone else (activities).||||This place is ok. We travel with a pop-up. Don't need much in the way of electricity. Water is nice. And space. And quiet. ||||We camped here with friends and family. Had a nice campfire. The campground was quiet. The restrooms were clean with plenty of hot water. The beachy area is well maintained and was pretty empty when we were here. There's a boat ramp and dock for your boat. Because it's so far from the city, the views of the stars were gorgeous. Glad we came.
Dead and live large spiders in the woman's shower. Bathrooms not well cleaned. In the middle of the night electric stopped working. Host not helpful.
The primitive campground was nice but could use better grounds keeper. The swimming area was a lot of fun. The camp host does not know how to talk to children and was very rude because they were fishing at the dock. I had them move to a different area, and the lady pulled out her phone to take a picture or video of me. The bathroom is dirty. This place could be amazing with good staff!!
