The Lodge at Summer Lake

First off I want to say I would stay here again. This was our 20 year anniversary trip. The good We stayed in the sage cabin. This area is beautiful and quite. The cabin has everything we needed. The not quite good. The staff was very friendly ( at least the one gentleman we interacted with). He was apologetic about the fact that on there web site it said they have a seafood special menu for Fridays. We have a few food allergies and made decisions on food to bring or not according to that information. We had planned on eating at the restaurant that night. He said they have been trying to take that off the website. I do see that it is gone now. Thank you. He suggested we may be able to get some food at the general store. Hotel and Restaurant on site. Gas Station close by as well as a market. Very quiet and peaceful. The pond in the back was really a nice plus. Room was comfortable but WiFi was iffy. Restaurant was really good and nice to have so close by. I would recommend!

Cute and quaint little motel was clean and priced right. Our room had micro., frig, coffeemaker and coffee, TV, heat, AC. Great shower. Owners running the restaurant were friendly and pleasant. Cute restaurant with a cozy feel to the room and restaurant. I wish we had time to stay an extra day and explore the property.

What a lovely little place! Travelling solo and felt more than comfortable here. I arrived a bit earlier than scheduled arrival and followed the powertool sounds to find the owner that was working on one of the cabins. I was in Room 6, I believe. Corner unit. Walked around the property for a bit and it was just lovely. Reminded me of the motels from the 60’s and 70’s with how quaint it was. Had dinner at the restaurant as soon as they opened and was the only one there. My server was a nice young lady and had such a great personality. After dinner, sat in a chair on the dock and went between reading and watching the sunset.

The room was good, can't watch the football game unless owners are as the whole place only gets 1 channel at a time, even with having direct TV they don't split it. The food in the restaurant wasn't that good, 1 waiter who also cleans tables, and everything else but cook so food came slow and cold, not the waiters fault. Won't be very quiet in rooms as you hear everything in the rooms next to you.
