The Lodge at Lake Lena

I give my 100% honest opinion on all my reviews.. This Motel gets beyond a 5 star rating. These days you dont see people being honest or really clean either. But this little spot is perfect. Your right of a main mini hwy 92. Easy to pull in and out. Rooms are actually unbelievably clean and quiet.. makes you feel like your staying the night at your aunties house. Just feels cozy like home. Last you got the front desk person and management. Two most honest people ever.. Every single motel or hotel ive ever been to wont refund crap.. But i paid for a full week.. 3 days in to my last week stay, and i had to leave.. Our house was ready. Giving up my key and walking away. Not thinking i was getting a dime back. I checked out a few months ago but I guess I will leave my review. If you are in town for work, I wouldn't really recommend. The few ruined it for the many. They will expect you to change rooms every 3 weeks and randomly do room inspections anytime between Monday through Thursday. This is hard for busy people like us and no we did not have anything to hide. We simply wanted a place to stay while we made it through our stent in Florida. No mail (which is new to us as other extended stays we have occupied let us receive mail while we were there working). There are also people who have been there for a long time and I'm not sure I agree with making them feel bad for not having better options at the moment. Great place to stay very affordable, they don’t have room service which isn’t a big deal anyway. You are your own keeper here. I’m glad I stumbled unto this place

DO NOT STAY HERE!! BEWARE TOXIC BUG SPRAY!! Stayed in Rm#6 Fri 12/1/2023 for 1 nite and this room looked nothing like photos on website! The 2 Queen beds were hard, Uncomfortable & had 2 flat pillows stuffed inside each pillowcase flat as a pancake. Bathroom was so tiny (w/1 person shower) & Bug spray was so overwhelming that I've been in bed very sick for days unable to hold my head up. (Toxic poison not only kills bugs but hazardous to humans!). Couple in next room were fighting all nite & I couldnt sleep from their yelling & screaming. I would never recommend this place & hope you'll make necessary changes as I see others have also left bad reviews. Neighbors were kind, and property manager is a friendly helpful person who does his job well. Gives notice and keeps the whole place kept up with. Better rates than most around and better service to boot. Room was clean and spacious. Would absolutely stay again in the future.
